Fair Game, the film adaptation of books by Valerie Plame Wilson and Joe Wilson about her outing as a CIA agent by the White House, premiered in Santa Fe on November 5 at a gala benefit for four organizations, including Partners in Education. The Wilsons are strong advocates for public education. On behalf of the thousands of teachers and children that Partners’ programs reach, we thank them, as well as sponsors Thornburg Charitable Foundation and Summit Entertainment, for their generosity and community spirit.
Meanwhile, the case for investing in education is being made all around us:
The New Mexican‘s Robert Nott writes about how the United Way and Santa Fe Public School board are convening public discussions about school system solutions.
Gregg Bemis has a recent opinion piece in the New Mexican calling for substantive change in our approach to improving education.
