Santa Fe New Mexican‘s education beat reporter Robert Nott writes about the turnaround school’s first year.

Less than one year after being named the lowest performing school in New Mexico, impressive advances at Ramirez Thomas Elementary School are due to a number of elements. The school is heading into its second year of a federally funded turnaround model of reform.

Join Native artist Ramona Sakiestewa for the Rainmaker Dinner, prepared by internationally renowned chef, Michelle Roetzer, for a dinner to benefit Partners in Education and the City of Santa Fe Arts Commission. The dinner (see menu after the jump) was designed by the chef and artist to celebrate Indian Market.
